VL DANCE CLASS BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

All bookings (including Single Classes and Class Block bookings) are confirmed only once full payment has been received. Where payment is made via BACS transfer, payment must be made immediately at the time of booking. Spaces are not reserved until funds have cleared. If payment is not received, the space may be released and made available for others to book. Velvet Lane is not responsible for spaces lost due to delayed payment. Payment is via Paypal or BACS

We do not offer refunds on Single Class bookings or Class Block bookings. While refunds are not offered, we may, at our discretion and subject to availability, allow: • A Single Class booking to be transferred to another class within the same block or the immediate next block. • A full Class Block booking to be transferred in full to the immediate next block. A minimum of 7 full calendar days’ written notice prior to the scheduled class date (for Single Classes) or the start date of the booked block (for Class Blocks) is required. Due to limited class capacity and the need to manage class spaces fairly, non-attendance or cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled class do not qualify for a refund or transfer, regardless of the reason. Partial transfers of individual classes within a block are not permitted. All transfer requests must be submitted in writing to info@velvetlane.co.uk.(mailto:info@velvetlane.co.uk) Transfers remain at the discretion of Velvet Lane and are not guaranteed.

Participation in any dance class is undertaken at your own risk. By booking, you confirm that you are in suitable health to take part in physical activity and understand your own physical capabilities and limitations. Participants agree to: • Follow all instructor guidance • Work within their own limits • Inform the instructor immediately if they feel unwell or unable to continue Velvet Lane and its instructors are not responsible for injuries resulting from failure to follow instruction or from working beyond personal limits.

Participants are responsible for selecting appropriate footwear and clothing suitable for dance movement and the choreography being taught. Certain classes may require or recommend specific footwear (including but not limited to heels, ballet shoes, jazz shoes or tap shoes). It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure their chosen footwear is suitable, supportive and appropriate for the class content. Where heels are worn, they are worn at the participant’s own discretion unless expressly stated otherwise. Participants accept responsibility for ensuring they are capable of safely executing movements in their selected footwear. Velvet Lane is not responsible for injuries arising from a participant’s choice of footwear or attire.

Velvet Lane reserves the right to: • Change instructors • Adjust class content • Alter schedules • Cancel classes where necessary Where a class is cancelled by Velvet Lane, participants will be offered a transfer to an alternative class where possible.

Velvet Lane may take photographs or short video clips during classes for promotional purposes. By attending classes, participants consent to the use of such content for marketing across digital and print platforms unless they notify us in writing prior to the class.

Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings. Velvet Lane accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal items brought to class.

Participation in classes is undertaken at your own risk. Velvet Lane shall not be liable for any injury, loss or damage sustained during participation in classes.

Velvet Lane reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. The most current version will always be available on our website.

All clients and participants are expected to treat Velvet Lane staff, teachers and performers with respect at all times. Abusive, threatening, inappropriate or disrespectful behaviour - including verbal, physical or sexual misconduct - will not be tolerated. Velvet Lane reserves the right to refuse entry or remove a participant from a class if their behaviour is deemed unsafe, disruptive, inappropriate or poses a risk to themselves or others. No refunds will be issued in such circumstances.
