1. Booking and Deposit

Accepted Answer

A 25% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your chosen package, dates, and choreographer.
Trial Lessons and Additional Lessons must be paid in full at the time of booking.
Your booking is only confirmed once payment has been received and cleared.
Deposits are non-refundable under all circumstances, including client cancellation or rescheduling.

Question 2

2. Payment Balance

Accepted Answer

The remaining balance must be paid no later than 10 days before your first scheduled lesson.
Alternatively, full payment may be made at the time of booking.
Trial lessons and any additional lessons must be paid in full at the time of booking.
Lessons will not go ahead without cleared payment.

Payment can be made via PayPal or BACS.

Question 3

3. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Accepted Answer

Lessons must be cancelled or rescheduled with a minimum of 72 hours’ notice.
Any lesson cancelled or rescheduled with less than 72 hours’ notice will be counted as one of your booked lessons and is non-refundable.
If your choreographer arrives for a scheduled lesson and you are not present or unable to proceed, the lesson will be counted as used and is non-refundable.
If you cancel part or all of your package with at least 72 hours’ notice before your next scheduled lesson, you may be eligible for a refund for unused lessons only, minus:
any lessons already taken
the upcoming scheduled lesson
the non-refundable deposit
If part or all of your package is cancelled with less than 72 hours’ notice before the next scheduled lesson, you may be eligible for a refund for remaining unused lessons only, minus:
the next scheduled lesson
any previous lessons taken
the non-refundable deposit
If you cancel your booking after paying the deposit but before any lessons have been scheduled, you will be entitled to a refund of any balance paid minus the non-refundable deposit.
Trial lessons and additional lessons are non-refundable under any circumstances.
Refunds will not be issued for lessons already delivered or for lessons cancelled outside the agreed 72-hour notice period.

4. Package Lessons

Accepted Answer

Package lessons are valid only for the couple booked and are non-transferable.
Lessons must be used within the agreed timeframe.
Additional lessons can be purchased at any time, subject to availability.

Question 5

5. Lesson Location

Accepted Answer

Lessons are usually held in the comfort of your own home.
If a studio or alternative venue is requested, any hire fees are the responsibility of the client and are not included in package prices.
Clients are responsible for ensuring the lesson space is safe, suitable, and clear for dancing prior to the choreographer’s arrival. Any time spent preparing or clearing the space once the choreographer has arrived will be counted as part of the scheduled lesson time, and no additional time can be added.

Question 6

6. Health, Safety and Participation

Clients participate at their own risk.
You are responsible for informing us of any injuries, medical conditions, or changes to your health that may affect your ability to take part.
Velvet Lane and its choreographers cannot be held responsible for injuries sustained during lessons. Clients participate at their own risk and are responsible for disclosing any injuries, medical conditions, or changes in health that may affect participation.

Question 7

8. Photography, Video and Media Use

Accepted Answer

Practice videos may be recorded during lessons for the client’s personal reference and practice.
Practice footage must not be sold, reproduced for commercial use, shared or distributed for instructional purposes without prior written permission from Velvet Lane. This helps protect the bespoke nature of your choreography ahead of the wedding day.
Velvet Lane reserves the right to use any photography or video footage captured during lessons and/or shared rom the wedding day First Dance for promotional and marketing purposes, unless the client expressly requests otherwise in writing prior to the lesson or wedding date.
Any footage shared with Velvet Lane is assumed to be shared with permission for promotional use
Where photography or video footage is used on social media or digital platforms, Velvet Lane will make reasonable efforts to credit the original creator where possible. However, credit cannot be guaranteed in all circumstances

Question 8

9. Changes To Lessons

Velvet Lane reserves the right to change lesson dates, times, or choreographers if necessary.
In the unlikely event we are unable to deliver a lesson, we will offer a suitable alternative at the earliest opportunity
In the event of unforeseen circumstances outside of our control, such as but not limited to illness, extreme weather, venue issues, travel restrictions, government restrictions Velvet Lane reserves the right to reschedule lessons. We will always aim to offer a suitable alternative wherever possible.

Question 9

10. Conduct

Accepted Answer

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate lessons if behaviour is unsafe, inappropriate, or abusive.
In such cases, lessons will not be refunded.
