Class Overview
FREE TASTER CLASS In the spotlight - Musical Theatre with the VL twist. This class is designed for complete beginners, as well as anyone looking to rediscover their love for dance. All ages welcome. No experience needed - just bring your energy and enjoy the moment. Across each 4-week course, you’ll learn one themed routine inspired by your favourite musical theatre numbers -the standout songs and moments that deserve to be in the spotlight, with a touch of that centre stage energy. From Chicago to Burlesque, Fame to 42nd Street, Moulin Rouge to Dreamgirls, The Greatest Showman to Mamma Mia, A Chorus Line to Hairspray, expect iconic tracks, feel-good energy, and choreography that lets you perform, express, and have fun. Routines are broken down step by step in a way that feels easy to follow and enjoyable, helping you build confidence as you go. Alongside this, you’ll also work on light jazz technique combinations to support your movement, improve coordination, and develop your overall dance skills - all in a way that feels accessible and pressure-free. With the signature VL vibe running throughout, this class is all about expression, confidence, and enjoying the performance side of dance in a fun, supportive, and uplifting environment. This isn’t just a dance class - it’s your time to enjoy the spotlight. ABILITY: Level 1 Beginners PLEASE NOTE: This is a free taster class, the 4 week block will start April 29th 2026

Cancellation Policy
BOOKING, PAYMENT & CANCELLATION POLICY 1. Booking Confirmation All bookings (including Single Classes and Class Blocks) are confirmed only once full payment has been received. Where payment is made via BACS transfer, payment must be made immediately. Spaces are not reserved until funds have cleared. If payment is not received, the space may be released and made available for others to book. Velvet Lane is not responsible for spaces lost due to delayed payment. 2. Refund Policy We do not offer refunds for Single Class bookings or Class Block bookings. 3. Single Class & Block Transfers Single Class bookings may be transferred to another class within the same block or the immediate next block, subject to availability and with a minimum of 7 full calendar days’ written notice prior to the start of the class booked. Full Class Block bookings may be transferred in full to the immediate next block, subject to availability and with a minimum of 7 full calendar days’ written notice prior to the start of the booked block. Partial transfers of individual classes within a block are not permitted. All transfer requests must be made in writing to info@velvetlane.co.uk . Transfers are not guaranteed and remain at the discretion of Velvet Lane.
